A direct consequence of one of Jerry's inspirations was his challenged the rest of the group to come up with thoughts of their own following in the footseps of this theme - Writers & Their Demons. In order to encourage submission he even generously offered a number of prizes. Sadly, this contest did not result in a large number of submissions but on the bright side that means that there is still a good variety of prizes available for the next contest. |
| 2 | During the annual Robbie Burns dinner attendees decided that they too would like to get in on the Custom of Contest and a new challenge was devised. Everyone there wrote down a word and a list was produced. This ad hoc list of words had to be used in a story that was no shorter then 500 words. Final submissions were presented at the meeting at Ian's in March. As it turned out there were two submission both entertaining and both prize winners. |
All of this brings us back to the point of the Creative Corner which is to serve as a platform for these endeavors. Please feel free to let us know what you think and if you'd like to participate in our sporadic offerings. Information on how to reach us or comment can be found, naturally, at the Comments and Guestbook page.
